Marathon Palladium-Copper Mine, Canada
EKN is considering a guarantee for financing equipment for the Marathon Palladium-Copper Project in Canada. The project is located near the town of Marathon in the province of Ontario, Canada.
The project involves the establishment of a palladium-copper mine consisting of open pit mining, a processing plant, and facilities for handling and depositing waste rock and tailings. The project also includes a transmission line. Production is expected to commence in 2028.
EKN has provisionally classified the project as A and is conducting an analysis of the project's social and environmental risks. These are initially assessed as relating to the impact on biodiversity, land, and water.
