IJMuiden Offshore Wind Project, the Netherlands

The Swedish Export Credit Agency (EKN) is considering a guarantee for financing of equipment to IJmuiden Beta, IJmuiden Gamma and Nederwiek 2 wind projects. The wind farms are located off the coast of the Netherlands and are part of the Netherlands’ actions to achieve its commitments under the Paris agreement.

The wind farms will have a total capacity of 6 GW and are planned to be commissioned around 2030.

EKN has made a preliminary classification of the project as category A and conducts an environmental and social (E&S) due diligence of the project.
