The Berne Union
EKN is a member of the Berne Union (International Union of Credit and Investment Insurers), which is an industry association with around 80 members from all over the world.
Private and government entities collaborate to support international acceptance of sound principles in connection with export credits and foreign investment. The activities of the Berne Union mainly involve information and experience sharing and create opportunities for networking via regular meetings. Examples of agenda items include risk assessments, product development and other credit insurance issues.
The Berne Union has adopted the Berne Union Value Statement which underlies the importance of sound principles, transparency and high ethical standards in international trade.
The Berne Union has adopted guiding principles on the basis of this value statement which are fundamental values that guide the activities of its members.
