Bear in mind

  • You should not log in using your eID when prompted by someone you do not know and trust.
  • It is a punishable offence to use someone else’s eID or to let someone else use your eID.

EKN Online accepts the following eIDs: Mobile BankID and Expisoft (Steria).

Mobile BankID

Mobile BankID is an eID for mobile phones and tablets.

In order to use Mobile BankID:

  • Download the app Mobile BankID from App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
  • Log in to your internet bank and request a code to activate your Mobile BankID.

Please note:

EKN cannot provide technical support for BankID problems. Please contact the issuer of your eID.

EKN eID

EKN eID is primarily for those who wish to use EKN Online but lack a Swedish personal identity number.

eIDAS

For users in Europe, the electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market initiative has been passed. This is available for users outside Sweden that have eIDAS with the assurance level of Substantial and/or High.

Expisoft

Expisoft e-identification is a personal eID that ties the user to an organisation (legal entity) and does not contain the user’s Swedish personal identity number. A person using this form of eID is identified using the organisation number for the organisation that the person represents in combination with a unique number (usually an employment number).

In order to use Expisoft e-identification:

  • Go to the Expisoft order form for e-identification.
  • The form needs to be signed by an authorised signatory or proxy holder of the organisation and submitted by post.
  • Expisoft issues and delivers an e-identification certificate as well as a personal identification number (PIN).
