Increased demand for EKN guarantees
At the end of the first six months of 2017 EKN, the Swedish Export Credit Agency, had issued guarantees for 1,088 export transactions to 120 countries, an increase of 22 per cent compared to the first six months of 2016.
– Many emerging markets in Asia, Africa and the Middle East need to expand their infrastructure to meet the demand of an increasingly properous population and evolving urbanization. Many Swedish companies are well positioned to meet these demands, says Anna-Karin Jatko, Director General.
The decrease in EKN's outstanding guarantees is a result of many expiring guarantees issued as a temporary solution during the financial crisis.
