Anna-Karin Jatko, New Director General of EKN

The Swedish Government today appointed Anna-Karin Jatko as new Director General of EKN with effect from 1 April 2016.

Anna-Karin Jatko comes from a position as Permanent Secretary of the Swedish Government Offices. She previously worked as Deputy National Budget Director at the Ministry of Finance, and between 2005 and 2010 she was a member of the Board of Directors of EKN.

"The Board of Directors and I look forward to working with Anna-Karin Jatko in her new role as Director General of EKN. Her experience from leading positions in the Government Offices, combined with her knowledge of EKN's activities, will be important qualifications for her work on the further development of EKN during the coming six years. On behalf of the Board I wish Anna-Karin a warm welcome to EKN," said Jan Roxendal, Chair of the EKN Board.

Anna-Karin Jatko succeeds Karin Apelman, who has been EKN's Director General since 2007 and a Board Member since 2002. Karin Apelman's appointment comes to an end on 4 March 2016.
