The premium for an EKN guarantee is based on EKN’s risk assessment, which covers factors influencing both political and commercial risks.
EKN’s country policies are explained under the Country List tab. The policy for each country is based on our assessment of the political risk associated with credit transactions with buyers in the country in question.
What will the premium be?
You can enter the buyer country and credit period under the Work out your Premium tab. This will give you a fair idea about what the premium for a loss on claim guarantee will be. To find out what the premium will be for other guarantees, please contact EKN directly, telephone no +46 8 7880000.
EKN’s premiums for counter guarantees and letter of credit guarantees differ from those for other types of guarantee. A counter guarantee is based on an assessment of the exporter. Often EKN follows the bank’s own pricing. In the case of counter guarantees the bank and EKN share the risk of the exporter failing to pay when the buyer uses the guarantee. The premium for a letter of credit guarantee also tends to follow the bank’s pricing.
