International co-operation
A long-term process is underway within the OECD and the EU with the object of harmonising the national systems for export financing. EKN is involved in this process. We represent the views and needs of the Swedish business community and monitor and promote their interests in line with Swedish policy.
There is a fundamental rule within the World Trade Organisation on subsidies and balancing measures: the activities of an export credit agency must break even in the long term. The premiums that each agency charges must be sufficient to cover its long-term costs and losses.
