Royal interest in EKN
Swedish Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited EKN on Monday Jan 23 to deepen their knowledge about how EKN encourages increased Swedish exports.
During the two-hour visit, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were given a description of how EKN insures payments for exporters and banks across the world.
The royal couple were also briefed on EKN's view of the world and our assessment of business opportunities and risks. Despite periods of uncertainty, the global economy has shown good growth over the last decade and the risk features have improved.
The meeting ended with a conversation about how transactions can be carried out responsibly in difficult markets.
"It's good that through its international cooperation EKN can stimulate other countries to encourage their companies to take responsibility within environmental and social sectors," said the Crown Princess, who also appreciated the concrete examples.
It is of great benefit to Swedish exporting companies that the Crown Princess and Prince represent Sweden internationally.
"I am delighted that Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel show so much interest and commitment to the internationalisation of Swedish business," says Director General Karin Apelman.
