Environmental policy
Environmental consideration is an important aspect of EKN’s assessment of export transactions. The object of EKN’s environmental policy is to mitigate any adverse environmental impact from export transactions guaranteed by EKN.
EKN’s environmental policy is based on the Common Approaches on the Environment and Officially Supported Export Credits developed within the OECD. The policy is applicable to transactions that involve a credit period of two years or more. However, application for short term guarantees may also, on case-by-case basis, be analyzed from an environmental point of view.
