We expand the export world
Our guarantees offer companies and banks safer transactions and protection against various risks at all stages of the business process. A guarantee can be a prerequisite for offering the buyer competitive credit terms, and can also facilitate better financing. The security offered by the guarantee – you know you will get paid – makes more export transactions possible. We expand the export world for Swedish companies.
The demand for EKN-guarantees is increasing and our new mandate gives us greater opportunities to promote the internationalisation of Swedish trade and industry, says Director General Karin Apelman.

EKN’s involvement is often a precondition for a Swedish export transaction to go through. Iran, Russia, Turkey and the Middle East dominated the new deals during 2007. Together with Volvo’s bank VFS and Nordea, EKN has participated in Volvo’s expansion in Brazil. The trading house Elof Hansson gets support from EKN in large transactions and is satisfied with the collaboration.
