We expand the export world
The Swedish Export Credits Guarantee Board (EKN) guarantees that Swedish companies and banks get paid when they export. Guarantees lead to improved financing and provide opportunities to offer purchasers competitive credit. Thanks to guarantee-enabled security, EKN’s clients know that they’ll get paid, and many export deals will be realized.
During the year, EKN issued offers in support of exports to a total of 192 exporting companies – 74 of them were new to EKN. The new customers are mainly small and medium sized enterprises.

The premiums are lower in many markets, compared to the previous year. During 2006, country risk classifications were improved for 21 countries. This is the continuation of a trend that has been going on for some years. The upgradings that have taken place are geographically well spread.

The new working capital guarantee makes it easier for small and medium sized enterprises to arrange, through their banks, the financing needed for export transactions. EKN guarantees 50 percent of the amount granted.
